I recently purchased a Lexar JumpDrive Secure. I am not using the
encryption software that came with the drive, I would like to use it
as a regular flash drive.
Works fine, the only problem is WinXP mounts it as a Local Disk. I
would like it to mount as a removable disk. Does anyone know how to
re-partition and format this flash drive so it will show up as
removable media?

Are you sure XP mounts it as a local disk. Or, does your system mount it
as a local disk? Check on someone elses system before you come to a
hasty conclusion.

Incorrect mounts sometimes happen with XP.

Three Xp-pro systems and two Win2000 systems all mount it as a local disk.

Windows 2000 and Xp both mount it as a removable drive. The only thing is
the fact that the drive letter gets assigned as a "first come first serve"
method where the letter changes.
